Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Sales Associate role based in Troy, MI. The Sales Associate is responsible for greeting customers, learning their needs, and recommending suitable sunglass styles and brands to create an engaging, personalized shopping experience. Day-to-day tasks include demonstrating product features, processing sales transactions, handling returns and exchanges, and maintaining accurate point-of-sale operations. The role also involves keeping the store clean and visually appealing, organizing displays, restocking merchandise, and supporting promotional activities. Sales Associates collaborate with the store team to meet sales goals, follow company policies, and uphold Sunglass Hut’s standards for customer care and brand representation. Qualifications Customer service and retail sales skills, including the ability to engage customers, identify needs, and build lasting relationships. Communication and interpersonal skills for clear, friendly interaction with customers, peers, and store leadership. Point-of-sale, cash-handling, and basic math skills to process transactions accurately and efficiently. Visual merchandising and attention to detail skills to maintain attractive product displays and a clean store environment. Reliability and time-management skills to work scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to stand for extended periods, move merchandise, and perform typical retail physical tasks with or without reasonable accommodation. Prior retail, fashion, or customer-facing experience is beneficial but not required; a strong interest in eyewear and style is a plus.
