Medium Law Renewal Specialist

The Medium Law Renewal Specialist is responsible for increasing Westlaw revenue, usage and market share in assigned law firm accounts by utilizing skills related to legal research, training, sales and marketing. You will leverage your expert consultative approach and opportunity analysis to meet customer needs. This is accomplished through an in depth understanding of Thomson Reuters products and strong relationship building skills.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Renewal Specialist, you will:

• Effectively meet customer needs and build productive customer relationships, taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty for Medium Law firm clients
• Create effective sales solutions for Medium Law clients, providing customers with high-impact training to exceed their needs and establishing solid, long-term relationships
• Build credibility by working as a strong team player and through powerful formal presentations; interact with others in a way that promotes openness and trust
• Demonstrate strong negotiation skills by effectively exploring alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties
• Exhibit a deep knowledge of products such as Westlaw including content add-ons, the legal profession and the legal publishing industry
• Attain assigned revenue account goals
• Partner closely with Sales Executives in identifying the sales opportunity for each firm, supporting the renewal process in assigned accounts
• Educate customers on the benefits of Westlaw over competitors and train customers on the use of Westlaw
• Coordinate training and local marketing efforts with assigned Client accounts
• Keep up to date on competitive activities in accounts and communicate information to divisional/regional management
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology products aimed at increasing revenue and providing solutions

About You

You're a fit for the role of Renewal Specialist if your background includes:

• J.D. Degree preferred
• Legal practice experience preferred
• Strong communication, presentation and Westlaw legal research skills
• Customer service orientation and experience
• Field Account Management and sales/marketing experience strongly preferred
• Proficient in MS office tools
• Previous legal research training preferred
• Ability to travel occasionally to training sessions, meetings and to customer locations

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $106,400 USD - $197,600 USD. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive.
