North Texas Rehabilitation Institute is a 48-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Plano, TX, serving the North Dallas region as part of the Ernest Health network. The hospital provides comprehensive rehabilitation for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, orthopedic and trauma surgery, and other complex medical conditions, and is recognized as a CIHQ Center of Excellence in both Rehabilitation Services and Stroke Care. We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team of passionate patient caregivers!

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse required
• Current CPR certification required
• One (1) year recent experience in acute care setting preferred

• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
• Demonstrates awareness of current Infection Control requirements and practices
• Demonstrates clinical proficiency utilizing policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Demonstrates appropriate use of supplies and equipment
• Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
• Effective organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
• Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a registered nurse, provides general nursing care to patients. Integrates the hospital's mission and "Guiding Principles" into daily practice.
