We’re looking for an experienced HVAC&R professional who enjoys sharing knowledge, demonstrating practical skills, and helping students build the confidence and technical foundation needed to succeed in the field.

What You’ll Do

• Teach assigned HVAC&R courses using approved curricula and instructional materials
• Deliver engaging instruction through classroom lessons, hands-on labs, demonstrations, and technical equipment
• Help students develop practical skills and understand real-world HVAC&R applications
• Maintain a safe, organized, and well-equipped classroom and laboratory
• Evaluate student performance through tests, projects, assignments, and midterm assessments
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student progress records
• Provide academic guidance, monitor attendance, and identify students who may need additional support
• Communicate with students and school leadership to resolve concerns and support student achievement
• Assist with curriculum development and recommend improvements to instructional materials
• Stay current with industry practices, equipment, technology, and technical standards
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, student activities, and graduation events
• Collaborate with program leadership to maintain high instructional standards and program quality

What We’re Looking For

• At least 3 years of relevant HVAC&R industry experience
• Four years of related experience may be required for certain associate degree teaching programs
• Documented technical expertise through relevant work history, certifications, diplomas, or transcripts
• Applicable licenses, certifications, and educational credentials required by state and accreditation standards
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and work effectively with students
• Strong organization, planning, and classroom management skills
• Dependable, professional, and committed to student success
• Ability to work collaboratively while taking initiative and managing responsibilities independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous postsecondary teaching or technical training experience
• Experience mentoring apprentices, technicians, or entry-level HVAC professionals
• Additional education beyond the credential level of the program being taught, where applicable
