About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Operations to take on a pivotal role in leading and supporting the day-to-day operations of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving process improvement initiatives, ensuring the efficiency and scalability of the organization, and overseeing key functions such as customer service, purchasing, inventory, and logistics. This role demands a hands-on approach, with a focus on mentoring and managing teams, monitoring operational KPIs, and implementing strategies to enhance operational performance. The VP of Operations will also be instrumental in supporting the company's growth by partnering with leadership to improve reporting, visibility, and support the transition to more efficient digital workflows. Applicants for the Vice President of Operations position at the company should ideally hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have a minimum of 8 years' experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or customer service leadership. Experience in industries related to textiles, commodities, or industrial distribution is strongly preferred. The role requires a proven track record in team leadership, cross-functional initiatives, and a strong understanding of various operational processes. Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, project management, organizational, and communication skills, and a history of driving continuous improvement and operational efficiencies. A background in smaller, entrepreneurial environments and a history of wearing multiple hats is also a significant advantage.
