Overview:

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as an Echocardiographer.

Position Status:

Full Time, Days, 36 scheduled weekly hours

8 hour shifts starting at 8am. On Call Required.

Position Location:

Virginia Beach, VA

Overview

Unit has 5 rooms for Echos. Echocardiographer will perform Echo and Stress Echo tests, Transesophageal (TEE) Echocardiogram, and Doppler ultrasound. Echocardiographer will work in Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU and will also work with patients at the bedside.

Performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application.

Education

• High School Grad or Equivalent (required)
• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines (required)

Certification/Licensure

• Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS or RCS or RDCS) required within in 12 months of hire.
• BLS (Required within 90 days)
• ACLS (Required within 90 days)

Experience

• Echocardiographer experience (1 year minimum required)

The base pay range for full-time employment is $42.23 - $62.80 hourly.Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
