ALAY Home Care is seeking compassionate and dependable Spanish-Speaking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities throughout New Jersey.

Position: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Language: Spanish-speaking required
Job Type: [Full-Time / Part-Time / Per Diem]
Pay: $21.40–$30.00 per hour
Location: Various locations throughout New Jersey

Job Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care and daily routines.

• Provide companionship, mentorship, and emotional support.

• Support individuals in participating in community activities and appointments.

• Assist with behavioral support and implementation of individual support plans.

• Provide medication assistance/administration as permitted by training and applicable requirements.

• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and care team members.

• Accurately document services and daily activities.

• Follow all company, NJ DDD, and client-specific policies and procedures.

• Use the required Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system to accurately clock in and out of shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Fluent in Spanish and English preferred/required based on client needs.

• Valid CPR/First Aid Certification.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• Reliable transportation preferred, especially for positions requiring community support.

• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral needs, caregiving, or healthcare is preferred.

• Must be dependable, professional, compassionate, and able to work independently.

• Must successfully complete required background checks, fingerprinting, drug screening, and other applicable NJ DDD requirements.
