The Evergreen Center welcomes all individuals from various backgrounds and experiences through cultural equity, inclusion, and diversity.Job DescriptionThe Chief Operating Officer reports to the Chief Executive Officer.Operational Responsibilities:Oversight of the day-to-day operations of Evergreen Center’s Residential Treatment programResponsible for the implementation and monitoring of activities that support the Board approved strategic planChairs Executive Team and Manager’s Meetings for the Children’s Residential Treatment ProgramResponsible for the implementation and monitoring of administrative operational policies and proceduresMonitors and oversees activities related to personnel including training, evaluations, promotions/ demotions, schedule changes, conflict resolution, injury reporting and follow upActs as a liaison between the Evergreen Center’s Children’s Residential Treatment program and HR, IT, Facilities, QA, and other support teams as the on-site point of contactClinical Responsibilities:Review and monitoring of behavioral clinical activitiesReporting of restraints, time outs, and other clinical activities to licensing agencies as required by regulationCoordinates clinical development activities and training in partnership with other executives and the Director of Professional DevelopmentAdditional Responsibilities:When necessary, chairs internal review teams and provides follow upParticipates in the Parent Advisory Council and Human Rights Committee for Children’s Residential TreatmentQualificationsDoctoral degree in special education, psychology, or related field (Master’s Degree considered if enrolled in a program leading to a doctoral degree)Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analysts (required)Ten years of relevant clinical and management experience with individuals who have multiple challengesMassachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education school Administrator of Special Education and Massachusetts Teacher certification in Special Education (preferred)Ability to communicate effectively with all students, their families, staff, management personnel and public safety officialsAdditional InformationPlease visit our website at to learn more about our organization!Selection for employment is made regardless of race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, pregnancy or pregnancy-related condition, marital status, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, handicap, genetic information, someone who is a member of, applies to perform, or has an obligation to perform, service in a uniformed military service of the United States, including the National Guard, on the basis of that membership, application or obligation; veteran status, or any other bases protected by law.
