X-Ray Technician

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 AM - 05:30 PM)

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated X-Ray Technician with a minimum of 1 year of experience in acute care settings, including emergency room (ER) and intensive care unit (ICU) environments. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Washington state license and certifications in BLS and ARRT. The position involves performing general X-ray procedures on a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct X-ray examinations following established protocols for a variety of procedures, including portable and bedside exams.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care.
• Participate in on-call duties, including 2 call shifts per month.
• Maintain equipment and assist in quality control procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technician.
• Certifications required: BLS, ARRT (Radiography).
• Washington state license is mandatory.
• Experience in trauma centers is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Epic charting system is a plus.

Skills

• Proficient in a range of X-ray modalities, including but not limited to:



• Chest Routine
• Abdomen (decubitus, supine, upright)
• Extremities (ankle, wrist, knee, etc.)
• Fluoroscopy procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Facility and Patient Care Details

Our facility cares for a diverse range of patients, including neonates, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily caseload includes approximately 20 exams, providing a robust experience in general X-ray procedures.

• Candidates may be required to float between nearby facilities.
• This role requires flexibility regarding scheduled shifts and adherence to on-call requirements.
• Travelers are expected to handle modules that may be required before starting the assignment.
