Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their mental, behavioral, and emotional health from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Develop customized intervention and recovery plans tailored to individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to achieve optimal outcomes.
\n
• Monitor and evaluate client progress consistently, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including social workers, nurses, and physicians, to create comprehensive intervention strategies.
\n
• Maintain appropriate follow-up with clients’ psychiatrists and attending physicians, especially for those admitted to the hospital.
\n
• Identify and intervene in behaviors that may impede client recovery, while offering support to family members and primary caregivers facing mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with a variety of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Your expertise will play a vital role in creating safe spaces for patients to explore their concerns and develop coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in Illinois.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficient experience in mental health counseling and psychotherapy.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, for efficient documentation and record-keeping.

Preferred Experience\n

• Background in treating individuals with co-occurring physical health conditions and addictions.

• Knowledge of best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Understanding the implications of psychotropic medications prescribed by medical professionals.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clients effectively.

• Demonstrated empathy and interpersonal skills to foster trust and build rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
