Mill Machinist

Mill MachinistWe are seeking a dedicated CNC Horizontal Boring Mill Operator to join our team for either the 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) or 2nd shift (3:30 PM - 12:00 AM). The initial training will occur on the 1st shift for a period of 2-3 months. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in setting up and operating milling machines, particularly with TC-30 machines featuring Fagor controls.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate various CNC machines, including both mill and lathe machines.Work in a job shop environment, handling large CNC machines.Perform tooling changes and machine setups for each shift.Read and interpret blueprints, using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Maintain precision tolerances of +/- 0.001.Work with G&M codes and edit programs directly on the machine using MasterCAM and Solidworks.Utilize manual machines and grinders as needed.Operate machines with fanuc and Fagor controls.Essential Skills6-8 years of CNC machining experience.Proficiency in setting up machines and performing tooling changes.Ability to edit programs using G&M codes.Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Capability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience in a job shop environment rather than production machining.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Experience maintaining tolerances of +/- 0.001.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with MasterCAM or Solidworks.Experience operating both mill and lathe machines.Why Work Here?We prioritize promoting from within, providing ample opportunities for career advancement.
