Details Float pool position covering Med-Surg (MS), MS/Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) diagnoses within the hospital Adult to geriatric patient population Patient ratios of 1:4-5 for PCU and 1:5-6 for MS/MS Tele Uses Epic EMR (required), along with Pyxis and SBAR communication systems Every other weekend required (average 6 weekends in a 13-week contract) Floating required to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units No on-call requirements Navy blue scrubs required Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Epic EMR experience required Must be flexible with float assignments and scheduling Additional Information Provide nursing care across Med-Surg, MS/Telemetry, and PCU units as part of a float pool team First-time travelers are welcome to apply Locals accepted at the same rate Maximum RTO of 7 days, must be submitted with initial application No RTO requests permitted during the first week of assignment Holiday coverage required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment, both must be worked; if three major holidays fall within the assignment, two must be worked Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day Returning travelers must be away from the facility for one full year before being eligible to return Shift and contract length are firm with no alternate schedule requests permitted American Traveler Job ID P-743201.
