Practice Patient Service Rep, SOCPA - Ladera Ranch

Location: Ladera Ranch, California | Shift: Day – 08 hrs (United States) Job Summary The Practice Patient Services Representative is responsible for greeting, assisting, and directing patients and their families through the appointment check‑in process. The role involves appointment scheduling, confirmations, and ensuring thorough information is obtained to facilitate the appointment process. The representative interacts with providers, practice staff, and billing representatives to provide superior customer service. Pay Range Minimum $19.93 | Midpoint $26.42 | Maximum $32.88 Responsibilities Greet and assist patients and families during appointment check‑in. Schedule appointments and send confirmations. Collect and verify complete information for appointment procedures. Coordinate with providers, practice staff, and billing representatives. Provide exceptional communication and interpersonal service. Qualifications Minimum of six (6) months of customer service, clerical, or front‑office experience. Experience in a medical practice, clinic, or office setting preferred. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; some post‑high‑school education preferred. Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal skills and judgment. Basic Life Support (BLS) required; medical terminology (CPT & ICD-10), bilingual language skills, and scheduling software knowledge preferred. Ability to handle interruptions, multi‑phone line management, and basic physical demands (lift up to 15 lbs., push/pull carts, etc.). Licensure & Physical Requirements Required: Basic Life Support (BLS). Physical demands include sedentary work; occasional lifting of floor to waist level up to 15 lbs., frequent lifting up to 67% of time, and repetitive keyboard use.
