Senior Accountant

Responsible for overseeing daily accounting activities, maintaining the general ledger, balancing bank accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. This role analyzes financial data, reconciles complex accounts, identifies process improvements, and collaborates with cross-functional departments to ensure the integrity of financial information. Key Responsibilities Lead month-end and year-end closing activities. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Maintain and balance bank accounts. Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations. Analyze financial results and investigate variances. Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist with internal and external audits by providing schedules and supporting documentation. Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Research and resolve complex accounting issues. Mentor and provide guidance to staff accountants. Participate in ERP implementations, system upgrades, and process improvement initiatives. Collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Revenue Assurance (FP&A), Payroll (HR), Treasury, and Operations to resolve accounting issues. Prepare tax-related schedules and assist with compliance filings as needed. Analyze aging, reserves, and write-offs. Prepare schedules for lenders and auditors. Required Skills Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Advanced knowledge of general ledger accounting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with ERP systems (preferred NetSuite) Strong organizational and project management skills. Effective written and verbal communication. Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience. Success Measures Delivers accurate and timely financial reporting.
