Job Position: Home Health Aide

Location: Midway, GA 31320

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $22.00

Description: We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and experienced Home Health Aide, CNA, or Caregiver to provide one-on-one assistance to a client in the Midway area. This is a consistent weekend opportunity for a caregiver who is comfortable providing hands-on personal care, assisting with transfers, and helping the client safely complete daily activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients who use a wheelchair and will be confident performing safe transfers using a gait belt. This position requires someone who is attentive, patient, safety-conscious, and able to provide respectful care while promoting the client's comfort, dignity, and independence.

Schedule

• Saturday and Sunday
• 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
• Approximately 14 hours per week
• Consistent weekend schedule

Candidates should be able to reliably commit to both scheduled days and hours.

Responsibilities

The Home Health Aide/Caregiver will provide individualized assistance based on the client's needs and established plan of care. Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting the client with showering and personal hygiene
• Providing assistance with dressing and grooming
• Assisting with toileting and bathroom needs
• Performing safe transfers between the wheelchair, toilet, shower, and other appropriate surfaces
• Properly using a gait belt during transfers and mobility assistance
• Helping the client safely navigate daily routines
• Providing assistance with activities of daily living
• Encouraging as much independence as safely possible
• Monitoring the client during transfers and personal care to help reduce the risk of falls or injury
• Maintaining a safe and organized environment around the client
• Performing light housekeeping directly related to the client's care
• Tidying the client's immediate living and care areas
• Providing companionship, conversation, and general emotional support
• Observing the client's condition and reporting significant concerns or changes as appropriate
• Following the client's individualized plan of care and instructions from the supervising care team
• Following appropriate safety and infection-control procedures
• Maintaining the client's privacy, dignity, and comfort at all times

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience assisting clients with safe transfers
• Proficiency and confidence using a gait belt
• Experience working with clients who use a wheelchair or have limited mobility
• Previous experience providing bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, and other personal care
• CNA certification preferred, but experienced caregivers may also be considered
• Previous home health, private-duty, assisted living, long-term care, or similar caregiving experience preferred
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent weekend schedule
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow an established plan of care and safety procedures
• Comfortable providing hands-on assistance with activities of daily living
• Reliable transportation to and from the client's home in Midway, GA

The ideal candidate is a caregiver who is comfortable providing hands-on support while maintaining a strong focus on safety. Because transfers are an important part of this assignment, the caregiver should understand proper body mechanics, gait belt use, and how to assist a client without rushing or compromising safety.
