Responsibilities

• · Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• · Help with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• · Plan and prepare meals
• · Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• · Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• · Perform housekeeping duties
• · Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• · Offer assistance with activities that are essential for daily living

Qualifications

• · Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• · Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• · Take pride in providing high quality care
• · Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• · Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment is beneficial
• · Reliable transportation every single day, valid driver’s license is preferred
• · Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• · High school diploma or equivalent, experience as a caregiver or CNA
• · Ability to lift 25 pounds, bear up to 50 pounds of weight, to bend, kneel and lift, and to perform physical job-related duties

Job Types: PRN, Full-time hours availability

Pay:  Beginning pay of 12 to 15/hr or more depending on experience
