Accounting Operations Associate

A rapidly growing alternative investment manager and a spinout from a highly respected investment platform. They plan to grow to $2-3 billion over the next several years, this is an exciting opportunity to join a firm at an inflection point and gain significant exposure across the business. The team is lean, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative, this role offers direct interaction with senior investment professionals and leadership. Position Overview The firm is seeking a Fund Accountant / Investment Operations Associate to support a broad range of accounting, operations, reporting, and compliance functions. Reporting directly to the firm's finance leader, this individual will gain hands-on exposure to virtually every aspect of the fund's back-office operations and help build scalable processes as the organization grows. Responsibilities Perform daily cash reconciliations and monitor cash activity across multiple accounts Assist with trade settlement processes and investment operations activities Support monthly and quarterly NAV preparation and fund accounting activities Prepare compliance and regulatory reporting schedules Assist with SEC filings, including 13D reporting requirements Coordinate with external administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and service providers Support preparation of tax workpapers and fund-related tax reporting Assist with management reporting and ad hoc analysis Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies Participate in special projects as the firm continues to scale Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Approximately 1 - 2+ years of relevant experience Background from public accounting, fund accounting, financial services, or investment operations preferred Strong Excel skills and attention to detail Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Willingness to take ownership and wear multiple hats Strong communication and organizational skillsSelf-starter mentality with a desire to learn and grow Base salary: $90,000 - $105,000+ (flexible for exceptional candidates) Significant exposure to senior leadership and investment professionals Exceptional opportunity for long-term growth as the firm's assets under management continue to expand Why This Opportunity?
