DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING / CONTROLLER | PUBLIC LIFE SCIENCES Greater Boston | Onsite $200K+ Base + Bonus + Equity A publicly traded life sciences company in the Greater Boston area is seeking a Director of Accounting / Controller to join its finance leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on accounting leader seeking broad responsibility across corporate accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting, and financial operations. The Role Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including general ledger, consolidations, and financial reporting Oversee accounting for R&D activities and other industry-specific transactions Support SEC reporting, technical accounting, and SOX compliance Manage complex accounting matters involving equity, stock-based compensation, debt, and other financial instruments Lead external audit activities and strengthen accounting policies, controls, and processes Partner with senior leadership across Finance and other functional areas Drive process improvements and support the continued development of the accounting organization Ideal Profile Public accounting background required; Big 4 preferred Biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry experience required Strong U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and technical accounting background Public company and SOX experience Experience with complex accounting transactions and financial reporting CPA preferred Hands-on, proactive accounting leader with strong communication and leadership skills Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment KBW789 #J-18808-Ljbffr
