Job Overview Position: HVAC Service Sales Representative Location: Boston, MA (FirstCall Mechanical, LC Anderson) Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 FirstCall Mechanical is a leading provider of commercial and industrial HVAC, building controls, electrical, and plumbing services. Founded in 1943, LC Anderson partnered with FirstCall Mechanical in 2025. FirstCall serves a wide array of facility and customer types, including distribution centers, industrial plants, universities, airports, healthcare facilities, self-storage units, and more. The company has approximately 700 employees across multiple states and is expanding nationwide. Job Responsibilities Follow a disciplined and professional process to identify, target and qualify prospective new customers; take advantage of market conditions and networks effectively to uncover new leads and contacts. Contact prospective customers and schedule appointments. Build a referral network to identify new customers. Conduct sales calls to identify key sources of problems and/or dissatisfaction confronting Facility Directors in operating and maintaining heating/cooling, ventilation, and control system equipment. Develop a sense of urgency to resolve needs and position FirstCall Mechanical as the supplier of choice. Propose solutions to prospective customers’ needs through creative and innovative application of local branch service capabilities with a focus on selling renewable maintenance agreements and emphasizing digital service offerings, sustainability, and decarbonization. Understand the customer's business and speak their language. Review and finalize proposals with prospects and secure their commitment to the FirstCall Mechanical solution. Conduct customer kick‑off meetings, resolve customer issues, create pull‑through opportunities, maintain service agreements, extend service agreements, and support the collections process. Keep management informed of progress and account status using BuildOps and other means. Develop and implement territory marketing plans consistent with the FirstCall Mechanical business strategy. Accountabilities Continual learning and development in the body of knowledge through FirstCall Academy to ensure a setting of the bar for skill level in the industry. Provide elite level of customer service, ensuring we continue to be the FirstCall our customers choose for their HVAC & refrigerations needs. Qualifications 2‑3 years of progressive sales roles. Aptitude for technical knowledge with high attention to detail. Excellent presentation skills and ability to captivate in both individual and group communications. Experience selling service and maintenance. Exposure to sales methodologies, standards, and disciplines. Knowledge of building HVAC systems. Behavioral Profile Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write correspondence; effective presentation in one‑on‑one and small group situations. Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; compute rate, ratio, percent; draw and interpret graphs. Reasoning Ability – Apply common sense to carry out instructions; handle problems involving several concrete variables; mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks. Environmental and Physical Requirements Work in a field environment, multiple customer sites daily. Regularly use hands to operate computer keyboard; reach with hands and arms; frequently stand, walk, sit, climb or balance; kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
