Hi — I'm Ced, a dad of two in the Scottdale/Decatur area looking for a reliable, warm sitter for occasional weekday evenings. My kids are Lincoln (10) and Nuri (7). Lincoln plays soccer, does 4H and drums, and is deep into drawing right now. Nuri sings in choir, takes ballet and piano, and is working on her reading. They're busy, funny, and easy company. Both are at The Museum School. What I need: roughly one to two weekday evenings, about 5:30 to 9:30 PM, on an alternating-week schedule I can give you well in advance. Occasional school holidays. Mostly it's activity pickup, dinner, homework, and an 8:30/9ish bedtime. Driving is required — there's usually one pickup or drop-off in Decatur or Avondale. I pay mileage, and I'll ask for a license, insurance, and a clean driving record. What I'm looking for: someone dependable, calm, and good with a 10-year-old who wants to talk and a 7-year-old who wants to be read to. Experience with school-age kids matters more to me than credentials. CPR certified is a plus. What I offer: $22–25/hour for both kids, paid the same night. Consistent hours even if plans change. A written schedule, never last-minute scrambling. I run a background check on anyone I hire and I'm happy to give you references first.
