As a trusted business partner, you will drive outcomes, lead cross-functional teams, and contribute the deep, thoughtful analysis that enables our leadership team to make informed decisions across our advisory platforms.The Advisory Platforms product area is centered on the end-to-end capabilities advisors use to run their advisory business and the vendor relationships that support them — platform functionality, advisor workflows, and the partner ecosystem behind them. You will drive PI deliverables for the domain, working directly with your aligned technology partners and delivery teams to plan, commit, and deliver against the roadmap. You will also partner extensively with adjacent teams, including Model Management, to align on prioritization and sequencing so shared capabilities are delivered with minimal impact to those teams’ own commitments.You will collaborate on the strategy and vision for Advisory Platforms and own its implementation — translating agreed direction into roadmaps, requirements, prioritized backlogs, and delivered capabilities. Strategic direction is set in partnership with senior leadership and stakeholders; your accountability is making it real.A key component of that vision is the build-out of LPL’s tax overlay capabilities — tax-aware and tax-managed portfolio services delivered through our advisory platforms and overlay partners. You will lead the product execution behind this build-out, from capability definition and vendor selection through delivery, advisor enablement, and scale.To be successful, you should bring a strong understanding of how financial professionals run their practice with a focus on advisory business — centralized portfolio management team operations, UMA and managed account structures, the interactions between parties involved in account management, tax-sensitive portfolio management, and investment management administration. A consulting mindset, fluency in the financial services regulatory environment, and command of Agile product development are critical. You will lead interactions with advisors, business leads, internal cross-functional teams, and external vendors to drive key outcomes in support of our strategy.ResponsibilitiesPartner with leadership and stakeholders to shape the Advisory Platforms strategy and vision, and own the execution of that direction end to end.Translate agreed strategy into a 6–24 month roadmap with clear themes, expected outcomes, and value drivers, aligned with stakeholders and dependent teams.Lead the product execution of LPL’s tax overlay build-out as a key component of the Advisory Platforms vision — defining capability requirements, sequencing delivery, and driving the cross-functional work needed to bring tax-managed services to market at scale.Define the tax overlay capability set in partnership with advisors, Advisory Programs business stakeholders, the Overlay Portfolio Management Group (OPMG), and vendor partners — including tax-loss harvesting, gain/loss budgeting, transition management, wash sale handling, tax-aware rebalancing, and client-level tax preferences.Drive PI deliverables for the domain — partnering with aligned technology teams through PI planning, commitment, and execution to ensure objectives are clear, dependencies and risks are identified early, and delivery stays on track.Own the vendor relationships for assigned advisory platforms — leading evaluation and selection, roadmap alignment, performance management, escalations, and contract and scope discussions, including RFPs and build-versus-buy analysis.Partner across the advisory organization and supporting functions to design the end-to-end operating model for new and enhanced advisory capabilities, including the workflows, controls, and disclosures required to operate them at scale, engaging Legal, Risk, and Compliance early.Partner with adjacent teams, including Model Management, to align on prioritization, sequencing, and delivery of shared capabilities with minimal impact to their own commitments.Define and prioritize the capabilities advisors need to run their advisory business, working from validated advisor, field, Advisory Programs, and OPMG input, and drive enablement and adoption with field, marketing, training, and service partners.Lead cross-functional teams and drive outcomes without direct authority; make day-to-day scope and prioritization tradeoffs within agreed strategic direction and escalate cross-product, funding, and vision-level decisions with clear options and recommendations.Define KPIs and success metrics — including tax overlay adoption, asset growth, and advisor-facing outcomes — and create best-in-class reporting and presentations on strategic plays and growth initiatives that are SVP+, C-Suite, and Board ready.What are we looking for?We want strong collaborators who can deliver a world-class client experience.
