Job Description

Job Summary:
The Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting surgical teams during operative procedures, ensuring aseptic techniques, and maintaining a sterile environment. This role supports patient safety and optimizes surgical workflow through efficient preparation and equipment management.

Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments and arranging supplies prior to procedures.
Assist surgeons and surgical team members by handing instruments and maintaining a sterile field during surgeries.
Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are in proper working condition and sterile.
Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards throughout each procedure.
Assist with patient positioning and transportation as needed within the surgical setting.
Maintain detailed documentation of surgical supplies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Surgical Technologist or in a surgical support role.
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
Flexibility to work variable shifts, including on-call hours, evenings, and weekends.
