Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $2,037 per week in Roanoke, VA

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Roanoke, Virginia, 24001!

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a PCU/Medical-Renal stepdown setting serving adult and geriatric patients at a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
Perform cardiac monitoring, interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and respond to cardiac emergencies; manage cardiac drips (without titration)
Administer IV therapy, perform phlebotomy, administer blood products, and manage central and peripheral lines
Provide respiratory support via nasal cannula and oxygen administration; apply non-invasive airway management techniques
Participate in rapid response and code team activations; maintain appropriate isolation precautions
Float to other units within scope of practice and skillset as needed
Required Qualifications
Active Virginia state RN license or active Compact RN license required; pending license accepted only if candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
Epic EMR experience required
Demonstrated experience in a PCU, DOU, IMC, or Stepdown clinical setting
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be considered for one 13-week assignment with no eligibility to extend; candidates residing 50-99.9 miles away may also be considered for one 13-week assignment with no eligibility to extend; candidates residing within 100 miles are generally considered local - eligibility is subject to facility radius policy review
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience caring for patients with renal diagnoses or complex medical conditions managed by hospitalist teams
Familiarity with care of gastrointestinal, pulmonary, or other surgical/procedural patient populations
Experience providing care to chronic ventilator-dependent patients
Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
