About the Position

Job Title: Float Pool Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting License: Current nursing license Certifications: Current BCLS certification, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Proficient in IV start and telemetry monitoring Description: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting. Demonstrate flexibility to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity as needed. Be available for weekdays and some weekends, including holidays. Ability to handle patient ratios of 1:4-5. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail are required. Experience with electronic health records systems preferred. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patients and responding to their needs. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. Utilize critical thinking to assess patient conditions and make informed decisions. Maintain accurate patient documentation and records. Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols. Engage in ongoing education and professional development activities. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
