Associate Litigation Attorney

Associate Litigation AttorneyWe are working with an AV-rated civil litigation defense firm that is seeking experienced Associate Attorneys to join the team in Walnut Creek, CA! The firm works in a variety of practice areas including insurance defense, construction defect, premises liability, business litigation, and more.The Associate will manage civil litigation matters from initial intake through resolution, including legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and correspondence. Responsibilities include:Appearing in court for hearings and trialsTaking and defending depositionsParticipating in mediations and settlement conferencesCommunicating with clients, opposing counsel, and expertsAdvising clients on risk management and business counseling issues, analyzing contracts and policies, and helping develop strategies to prevent or mitigate disputesQualifications:Active CA bar license in good standingStrong litigation skills, including legal research, motion practice, discovery management, and case strategy developmentExperience or interest in civil practice areas such as real estate, construction, premises liability, personal injury, employment, and business disputesAbility to independently manage a caseloadPrior civil litigation or clerkship experience highly preferred; experience in federal and California state courts is a plus!Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
