Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator and Material Handler to join our team in a large distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building out pallets for canned dry goods to be shipped to various grocery stores and retailers. This role involves picking, packing, and customizing pallets according to client orders while operating a stand-up forklift in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets for canned dry goods to be shipped from the warehouse.
• Pick, pack, and customize pallets based on client orders.
• Operate a stand-up forklift to move between locations within the warehouse.
• Utilize a headset to receive instructions on picking and location tasks.

• Experience with forklift operation, specifically stand-up forklifts.
• Proficiency in order picking and packing.
• General labor skills in a warehouse setting.

• Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours a day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
• Minimum of 6 months forklift experience, or over 1 year in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large, climate-controlled distribution center that is clean and well-organized. Employees will work in a fast-paced production setting with a focus on efficiency and safety.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eldridge, IA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Eldridge,IA.
