Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Worker for our facility in Eldridge, Iowa. This role involves working on the 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The position primarily includes forklift operation, packing chemicals, labeling, and preparing products for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts for 20% to 50% of the workday.
• Pack chemicals and apply labels accurately.
• Stage, wrap, and prepare products for shipment.
• Load and unload trailers, typically handling 5-10 truck shipments daily.
• Maintain inventory and production areas, ensuring proper rotation of stocked raw materials.
• Adhere strictly to OSHA, ISO, and safety guidelines.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of forklift experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with inventory management and production tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with labeling containers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with RF scanners.
• Knowledge of material handling and warehouse inventory procedures.
• Capable of operating sit-down forklifts.
• Ability to work effectively in tight spaces.

Work Environment

Our facility is clean and well-lit, ensuring a safe working environment. Though spaces can be tight, safety remains the top priority. The warehouse is smaller, housing a variety of chemicals supplied to steel manufacturers. The collaborative culture encourages wearing multiple hats, with no task being below anyone. You will work alongside approximately 20 team members in the warehouse.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eldridge, IA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
