Contract Administration Specialist – Data & Process Improvement Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Contract Administration Specialist – Data & Process Improvement. In this role you will leverage your expertise in contract administration, regulatory compliance, data analysis, and process improvement to ensure contractual obligations are met, operational performance is optimized, and customers receive exceptional service. Responsibilities Advise stakeholders on contractual rights and tariff obligations, providing interpretation of contract terms, conditions, and applicable regulations. Support negotiations of contract terms and conditions with customers and stakeholders, including creating, supporting negotiation and incorporating change orders and amendments into key ongoing contracts. Develop and/or follow processes to manage contracts efficiently, consistently, and in compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations. Complete data entries in the contract management database and electronic storage system accurately and timely. Monitor compliance with tariff contract requirements and report contract information, development status, and performance to internal parties and regulatory agencies. Perform research on legal issues impacting the organization, identifying applicable statutes, regulations, and prime contract requirements and analyzing their application and effect on business operations. Manage shared program mailboxes, responding promptly to questions from internal and external customers regarding contract performance, compliance, and other contractual matters. Coordinate meetings, develop agendas, summarize and document decisions and action items, and disseminate meeting minutes. Review low‑complexity contracts to identify potential risks, liabilities, ambiguities, and financial implications to ensure contracts align with organizational objectives. Perform financial and journal entries for reconciliation of projects, including non‑POs, refunds and invoices, and assist with FERC Formula reporting, budgeting/forecasting, variance explanations, data requests, and monthly, quarterly and year‑end accruals. Identify and elevate issues to management for immediate resolution, including billing, operational, and contractual issues, and drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing processes, policies, and procedures. Ensure protection of all physical, financial and cybersecurity assets and proper handling of private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other sensitive information in accordance with highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications Three or more years of experience in contract management or contract compliance in accordance with regulatory rules and standards. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Legal Studies, Public Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience working in a utility, energy, regulated industry, government, or customer service environment. Experience with databases, large datasets, and data analysis tools to identify trends, perform root‑cause analysis, and develop actionable insights. Experience creating reports, dashboards, data visualizations, and management presentations to support operational, financial, and contractual decision‑making. Experience using automation and workflow tools to improve efficiency and streamline business processes, including Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, or similar low‑code/no‑code platforms. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, and reporting capabilities. Additional Information This position is hybrid. Employees will report to an SCE facility a set number of days and may work remotely on remaining days. Employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.
