Role Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for various age groups, employing both standardized testing and observational methods.
• Design tailored treatment plans that encompass immediate objectives and address overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Implement one-on-one speech therapy sessions targeting language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to establish well-rounded care plans.
• Provide education for patients and their families to enhance therapy progress outside of clinical settings.
• Assist in occasional inpatient assessments and therapy, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient's recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to professional growth by participating in ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications Needed

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting the position.
