Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Begin an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a contracted paraprofessional. In this role, you’ll work one-on-one with a student in the K–5 age group, providing crucial support and encouragement throughout the school year. The assignment starts as soon as possible and continues through June 5th, with a reliable weekly schedule of 37.5 hours over five days.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a school-based support role preferred
- Background working with students in kindergarten through fifth grade a plus
- Ability to provide attentive, individualized support to one student
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit, working alongside teachers and staff
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive approach to engaging young learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver dedicated 1:1 support to a student, helping them access instruction, resources, and classroom activities
- Implement strategies and accommodations as outlined by the IEP or teacher directions
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment tailored to the child’s unique needs
- Assist with classroom tasks, transitions, and activities to ensure a positive school experience
- Monitor and document student progress and behavior, sharing updates with the educational team
