Personal Banker I

Civista Bank is seeking a Personal Banker I to build strong customer relationships while providing exceptional banking services. In this role, you will open and service accounts, process transactions, and educate customers on Civista’s products, digital tools, and financial solutions. You will identify customer needs, make referrals to specialists, and support lending and wealth services. The position requires accuracy, compliance with banking regulations, and a commitment to integrity and local decision‑making. Responsibilities Open, maintain, and service personal deposit and savings accounts Process daily customer transactions accurately and efficiently Provide consultative guidance on banking products and digital services Identify customer needs and make referrals to lending and wealth teams Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulations Balance cash drawer and follow cash‑handling controls Resolve customer issues and elevate complex problems as needed Participate in community and customer outreach activities Support sales goals through cross‑selling and relationship building Maintain accurate records and documentation in bank systems Key Skills Retail banking operations Cash handling and balancing Customer relationship management (CRM) systems Banking products and services knowledge Sales and cross‑selling Digital and mobile banking platforms Regulatory and compliance awareness (e.g., BSA, AML, KYC) Data entry and transaction processing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Problem resolution and escalation procedures Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred Previous banking or cash‑handling experience preferred Customer service or sales experience strongly preferred NMLS registration may be required for activities involving lending or mortgage referrals Background check and bondability required for employment in banking #J-18808-Ljbffr Reporter Newspapers
