Robotic Controls Technician

Kforce has a client in Austin, TX that is seeking a Robotic Controls Technician. About the Opportunity: We are partnering with an advanced manufacturing organization to hire a Controls Technician supporting automation and production systems. This role is a great opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience with industrial automation technologies. What You'll Do:
- Support commissioning and maintenance of automated systems
- Troubleshoot PLCs, electrical systems, and equipment
- Work with robotics, conveyors, and automation systems
- Read schematics and system documentation
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams
- Entry level candidate, or 0-3 years of experience in electrical, automation, or manufacturing
- Basic PLC or controls exposure (school, internship, or work)
- Electrical troubleshooting fundamentals
- Ability to read schematics (or willingness to learn)
- Strong hands-on, problem-solving mindset
- Internship or lab experience with PLCs or robotics
- Mechatronics or electrical background
- Manufacturing experience
- Entry point into advanced automation + controls
- Hands-on experience with cutting-edge systems
- Strong growth path into Controls Engineer roles
- High-impact work in a fast-paced environment
