Maintenance Technician III Wanted!Salary range is $30.00-$35.00 per hour, based on experience, with an excellent personal time off policy and 401(k) and Profit-Sharing!About the JobGFS Chemicals is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join our Shared Services Division at our McKinley Avenue location. The Maintenance Technician III is a leadership role responsible for leading complex maintenance projects, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring optimal operation of all facility systems. The Maintenance Technician III performs a variety of maintenance duties to reduce and prevent equipment down time, help with equipment installations, maintain building facilities, and grounds upkeep. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks as well as more complex maintenance and repair tasks with minimal supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for performing complex tasks to support maintenance operationsIndependently troubleshoot and repair advanced mechanical and electrical systemsWork with Maintenance Planner to oversee execution of maintenance projects and upgradesEscalates personnel issues to Maintenance ManagerTrain and mentor lower-level techniciansEnsure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standardsCollaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve system reliabilitySupport on-site contractorsQualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate, Bachelor's Degree, or maintenance certification program, preferred5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or commercial settingProfessional certification in one or more relevant technical areas is required (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical trades, boilers, etc.Core Skills:Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systemsAbility to work independently and prioritize tasksStrong project management skillsAbout GFS ChemicalsGFS Chemicals is a family-owned and operated business based in Columbus, Ohio, serving customers worldwide since 1928.
