Business Analyst Consultant

Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid 2 days onsite/week) Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension) Interview Process: 1 Round Virtual Candidate Location Requirement: Must be a CURRENT South Carolina resident. No relocation allowed.

Business Analysis

• Review functional designs produced by vendors
• Analyze existing and proposed business processes
• Develop General System Design (GSD) documents
• Support software enhancement and process improvement initiatives
• Document business requirements and workflows

Testing Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Perform component, integration, regression, security, performance, and acceptance testing
• Record, analyze, and report testing results
• Reproduce and troubleshoot application defects
• Support defect management and root cause analysis
• Prepare and maintain test data and testing documentation
• Participate in incident review meetings and testing status reporting

Training & Support

• Conduct end-user training for county staff
• Develop user manuals, FAQs, training guides, and CBT materials
• Provide online and onsite training across South Carolina
• Deliver Level-2 help desk support for FCCMS application issues
• Communicate application updates, workarounds, and announcements to users

Additional Responsibilities

• Update application configurations as needed
• Assist with maintenance and operations activities
• Support judicial/court application rollout efforts
• Create and update Adobe Acrobat forms and documentation

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience preparing, documenting, and executing:
  • Test criteria
  • Test cases
  • Test scripts
  • Test plans for IT systems projects
• 2+ years of experience using, configuring, and maintaining FCCMS (Family Court Case Management System)
• 2+ years of experience with:
  • Component Testing
  • Integration Testing
  • Security Testing
  • Performance Testing
  • Regression Testing
  • Acceptance Testing

Preferred Skills

• Experience documenting existing and proposed business processes
• Previous judicial or court systems experience
• Previous state government experience
• Experience testing Judicial or Case Management System Development projects
• Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies

Required Education

• Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) or equivalent work experience
