Therapist - PHP/IOP

Schedule Full-time 40 hours/week Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm Job Responsibilities The therapist leads the collaboration among an interdisciplinary team to develop, coordinate, and facilitate all direct social services interventions to patients assigned to their caseload and their support systems. The therapist utilizes empirically supported therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or family therapy, to aid in the stabilization and recovery of individuals with mental and behavioral health concerns. They create a safe and supportive environment where patients gain insight into the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and work towards achieving their goals. Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address patients' needs and goals. Assess patients’ needs through comprehensive assessments to identify mental health concerns, strengths, and challenges. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients’ needs and goals; guide implementation of clinical interventions, including facilitating treatment team meetings. Provide counseling and support using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help patients manage symptoms and improve overall well‑being during sessions and in-the‑moment as needed. Educate patients about their mental health and/or substance use condition, self‑care strategies, and treatment options to support treatment engagement and aftercare planning. Document patient progress, maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, and complete all documentation within required time. Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate care and ensure optimal outcomes. Adhere to ethical codes of conduct and maintain confidentiality; report suspected cases of abuse or neglect according to state law and system policy. Participate in continuing professional development and maintain up-to-date knowledge of research and best practices. Participate in clinical initiatives, projects, and activities to support system-wide continuous improvement. Demonstrate understanding of Joint Commission, State, and other regulatory compliance regulations; provide for patient safety and facility safety. Support changes in staffing/scheduling assignments when program and patient care needs require; perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Master’s Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Family Therapy from an accredited school is preferred. At minimum, candidates should be an in‑training Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC‑IT), Marriage and Family Therapist Training License (MFT‑TL), Advanced Practice Social Work (APSW) or equivalent in the state. Substance use credentialing is required in Wisconsin (SAC‑IT, SAC, CSAC or equivalent). On-the-Job Training & Certifications Residential Care Center (RCC) and Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) training—required for Residential Inpatient programs, preferred for all levels of care. American Heart Association CPR certification within 30 days of hire; bi-annual re-certification required. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification within 60 days of hire/transfer; annual re-certification required. Attend all mandatory in‑services and other relevant in‑services. Responsible for educational requirements and related obligations pertaining to license and program/unit regulatory requirements. If working in a residential program, must hold a current and active driver’s license. Compensation Salary range: $33.75 - $63.60 per hour, based on years of experience and education.
