Payroll and Labor Accounting Specialist

Support the monthly payroll process for RTX accounting ledger Preparing and posting complex journal entries Completing account reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner Provide reporting and support analysis to Finance leads across RTX business unit Assist with internal and external auditor requests Act as a resource for other Payroll Accounting team members to analyze and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems Participate in critical projects, collaborating with Payroll Operations, Payroll Tax, HR, Benefits Finance, 3rd party vendors, Digital Technology, Internal Controls and the SBU's Focus on process improvement and alignment across Strategic Business Units (SBU's) to drive accuracy and efficiency Cultivate a culture focused on controls and compliance with US GAAP, RTX Policy and U.S. government cost accounting standards (CAS) Requirements A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field Minimum 5 years relevant experience ideally gained in a public accounting/private industry or corporate setting OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience Experience with Payroll Accounting Experience with monthly payroll process, preparing and posting complex journal entries, and completing account reconciliations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, SAP and Blackline Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in Payroll Accounting, including the monthly payroll process, complex journal entries, and account reconciliations. Strong focus on compliance with US GAAP and U.S. government cost accounting standards, along with a commitment to process improvement and collaboration across various business units.
