Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Charleston, SC, requiring ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and Siemens experience.

Details

• Mixed inpatient, ED, and outpatient MRI caseload with volume that varies daily
• 4x10-hour night shifts, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Holiday coverage required when holidays fall on a scheduled shift
• Float within other buildings on campus and to sister facilities is possible
• Charting performed in Epic
• 13-week assignment based in Charleston, SC

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• Current BLS (AHA) required
• Hands-on experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• SC license required if applicable
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• This is a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates who have worked at any MUSC location as permanent staff or PRN must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• All requested time off must be disclosed prior to consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
• Non-local candidates are prioritized; candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Online modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
• Scrub colors are teal top and black bottom
• Parking on nights and weekends requires a one-time $20 fee for a parking pass
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
