Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description

The General Production Worker operates production equipment, performs a variety of manufacturing and general labor tasks, and supports multiple departments to keep the production line running smoothly. This role focuses on following established processes, maintaining high quality standards through regular inspections, and contributing to a safe and efficient manufacturing environment by learning and executing a range of duties across the facility.

• Operate production equipment and machinery safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
• Perform general manufacturing and production line duties, including assembly, packaging, packing, and labeling of products.
• Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards and specifications.
• Learn and adhere to all production processes, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Cross-train in multiple roles and departments to support operational needs and increase overall team productivity.
• Handle materials throughout the facility, including loading, unloading, picking, and moving items as needed.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring tools such as tape measures to complete assigned tasks accurately.
• Assist with machine operation and basic troubleshooting to maintain continuous production flow.
• Support inventory-related activities by helping track, move, and organize materials and finished goods.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area by performing general cleaning tasks in and around the production line.
• Follow mechanical and assembly instructions, including simple blueprints or diagrams when required.
• Work as a general production operator, floating to different areas and learning multiple jobs and duties as needed.

• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Background in general labor, assembly, packaging, and general production tasks.
• Ability to operate production machinery and equipment safely.
• Experience with material handling, including loading, unloading, and moving materials.
• Ability to perform inspections and basic quality checking on products.
• Comfort working on a production line with repetitive tasks and consistent output requirements.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to be mechanically inclined when working with tools and equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools in a safe and effective manner.
• Capability to learn and follow production processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Willingness to cross-train and work in multiple roles and departments as operational needs change.

• Experience in construction or other hands-on industrial work environments.
• Exposure to assembly line operations and troubleshooting basic mechanical issues.
• Familiarity with forklifts or other material handling equipment.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for production tasks.
• Basic understanding of blueprints or simple mechanical drawings.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities.

This role is based in a hot, heavy industrial manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled. Employees work in and around production lines and machinery, often performing physically active tasks such as loading, unloading, material handling, and general labor. The environment involves exposure to industrial noise, heat, and moving equipment, and requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Team members should be comfortable working on their feet for extended periods and performing hands-on tasks in a busy, industrial setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, TN.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Lebanon,TN.
