Overview
RN First Assistant (RNFA) travel assignment in an outpatient surgery center located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Start date: 08/10/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $2,403–$2,601 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days. This travel role includes on-call coverage as needed and a requirement to float to the main OR location when necessary. The setting is ambulatory surgery, with care delivered in a outpatient center environment.

Responsibilities
- Act as the RN First Assistant during operative cases under surgeon direction, including exposure, tissue handling, suction, retraction, and hemostasis
- Maintain sterile technique, assist with draping, instrument and device preparation, and accurate counts to ensure OR readiness
- Position and transport patients safely, monitor intraoperative status, and communicate patient needs with the surgical team and anesthesia
- Assist with intraoperative documentation and ensure charting reflects events per facility policy
- Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and anesthesia to optimize workflow and patient safety
- Float to the main OR as needed to support cross-coverage and case volume

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license (MA licensure required; conditional license accepted; license documentation required at submission)
- RN First Assistant (RNFA) experience with a minimum of 3 years as an RNFA
- Ambulatory Surgery Center experience preferred
- Certifications: CNOR, ACLS, BLS (current)
- COVID-19 vaccination with booster required (no exemptions)
- Ability to work in an ambulatory outpatient surgery setting and float to the main OR as needed
- SSN and DOB required for submission
- Local radius: within 50 miles of Pittsfield, MA preferred
