Medical Assistant - Oncology

Collect and document patient screening data, take vital signs, and keep medical records current each day. Prep charts, process and ship labs, and perform injections, blood draws, and assist with bone marrow biopsies. Keep exam rooms and lab areas clean, stocked, and ready — including calibrating equipment and running regular quality controls. Track medication and supply inventory, place orders, and flag needs to team leads before things run low. Double-check medications for accuracy, document what's administered, and coordinate with nurses on patient readiness. Run equipment checks on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedule — machine calibration, filter cleaning, and quality checks included. Scan documents, update spreadsheets, and keep all documentation accurate and current. Take part in ongoing training, follow safety protocols, and travel to satellite clinics when needed. What we're looking for: Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program, with current certification. Current CPR certification. Strong phlebotomy skills and solid knowledge of medical lab procedures. Comfortable with basic computer tasks. Clear communicator, verbally and in writing, who thrives in a fast-paced setting. Sharp assessment, critical thinking, organizational, and customer service skills. Steady under pressure and able to handle stressful situations with composure. Dependable team player who can also work independently and track down resources on their own. Oncology/hematology experience is a plus.
