Job Description
Progressive Care Registered Nurse

Schedule

12H Night shifts. Must be flexible with scheduling, including a minimum of every other weekend.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week. Contract duration: 6 weeks.

Requirements

• Active nursing license required.
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required; NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience required, specifically in progressive care or related fields.
• Experience in a large trauma level 1, teaching facility is preferred.
• EPIC experience from within the past 2 years is mandatory.
• Unit specialty experience required: Cardiology, specifically with post-catheterization, STEMI, and structural heart patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions in progressive care units.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and medications.
• Document patient care activities in electronic medical records accurately.
