Job Description Bayside Sod Inc. is growing, and we are looking for a Customer Service Representative who is passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences. As one of the first voices our customers hear, you'll help guide them through purchasing sod, scheduling estimates, supporting our growing Turf Care division, and ensuring every interaction reflects Bayside's commitment to quality and service. Success in this role requires outstanding communication, strong organizational skills, and a genuine desire to help customers while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an hourly pay range of $23-$26, depending on experience.

Job Duties

• Own the first impression. Answer inbound calls, respond to customer inquiries, and ensure every caller receives prompt, professional, and friendly service.
• Guide every opportunity. Process inbound leads, schedule and reschedule estimates, answer product and service questions, and connect customers with the right solutions.
• Own the follow-up. Proactively reach out on outstanding proposals, follow up with customers, answer questions, and help opportunities continue moving forward.
• Support our growing Turf Care division. Answer questions, schedule recurring services, process payments, and introduce customers to Turf Care solutions that fit their needs.
• Own the order desk. Enter customer orders accurately, maintain CRM records, process transactions, and ensure every order moves smoothly from purchase to fulfillment.
• Keep customers informed. Set expectations, communicate updates, resolve concerns, and help customers feel confident throughout their experience with Bayside.
• Be the communication hub. Coordinate with Estimating, Logistics, Operations, Turf Care, and Office Administration to keep information flowing and ensure customers experience one seamless process.

Your Day. Work where collaboration happens. This is a full-time, in-office position because we believe the best customer experience comes from teams working together in real time. Your typical workday is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing you to build a rewarding career while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. While occasional flexibility may be needed to support the team, we value your time outside of work and strive to maintain consistent schedules.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required (college coursework or degree is a plus).
• Experience in customer service, office administration, scheduling, inside sales support, or another fast-paced customer-facing role where professionalism, communication, and organization were essential to success.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional and confident phone presence, while remaining efficient.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and experience working within CRM or other business management software.
• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• A proactive, ownership-minded approachyou naturally follow through, anticipate customer needs, and don't wait to be told what to do.
• Strong emotional intelligenceyou build trust easily, remain calm under pressure, and communicate effectively and efficiently with customers and teammates alike.
