We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of properties, with a focus on providing top-notch accounting services to our clients. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting and a strong understanding of GL, reconciliation, and month-end close processes. Responsibilities Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a portfolio of properties. Performing account reconciliations and ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met. Executing month-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations. Assisting with budget preparation and financial forecasting. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and accounting standards. Collaborating with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Assisting with audits and providing necessary information to external auditors. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting. Proficiency in GL, reconciliation, and month-end close processes. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
