Critical Care Registered Nurses – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is looking for experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses who will be assigned to the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This position will provide care to patients with critical heart conditions and issues, and will plan, evaluate, and implement patient care according to accepted standards of practice. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in‑patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community‑based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire’s newest medical school. Conditions of Employment Pre‑Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, drug test, verification of employment history and education. Availability: Twenty‑four (24) hour responsibility, on‑call and call‑back may be required. Certifications: Additional certifications may be required depending on the needs of the department. Qualifications Candidates must possess ALL of the following: Experience: One (1) year of full‑time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse. License and Certifications: Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing. Must possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Critical Care RNs must also possess and maintain the following unit specific certifications/courses required to work in the CVICU at time of application: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Basic Arrhythmia Class NIH Stroke Scale Certification Critical Care Course or Critical Care RN Certification Candidates possessing a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit is desired.
