HOT JOB: CARDIAC MED-SURG RN – 3x12 DAYS (SIOUX CITY, IA)

I am fast-tracking applications for a highly competent Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse with deep cardiac experience to anchor an active inpatient care line in Sioux City, Iowa. This 13-week contract features an immediate review pipeline, zero mandatory weekend constraints, and a highly desirable 07:00 AM daytime schedule.

POSITION QUICK-FACTS

• Start Date: 08/03/2026 (13 Weeks)
• Shift Schedule: 07:00 AM - 19:00 PM | 12-Hour Day Shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly (Overtime is billable after 40 hours).
• Weekend Requirements: None!
• On-Call Mandate: None – No regular on-call standby required.
• Systems & Charting: Cerner EMR.

THE CLINICAL MATRIX

• The Environment: Work as an integral part of an collaborative, interdisciplinary inpatient team managing a diverse acute care patient panel with heavy cardiac pathologies.
• Clinical Mix & Scope: Autonomously provide professional nursing care, continuous telemetry tracking, comprehensive patient assessments, and complex plan-of-care updates.

• Core Technical Expectations [REQUIRED]:

  ⚠️ SKILLS HARDSTOP: All incoming RNs must possess proven, deep cardiac medical-surgical experience, including hands-on competency in titrating and managing standard cardiac continuous infusions/drips.

• Float Pool Scope: The facility may ask travel clinicians to float within the same nursing discipline across local sister campuses based on live daily census and staffing priorities.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)

• Experience Baseline: Minimum 1 year of current, dedicated acute care Med-Surg experience with a strong, verifiable cardiac focus.
• Travel Status: First-time travel nurses are fully accepted!
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Iowa (IA) state RN license or valid multi-state Compact license must be active and in-hand at the time of profile submission.
• Certifications:
  • Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certificate.
  • Valid Iowa Mandatory Reporter certification.
• Required Profile Documentation: A copy of your valid Driver's License must be bundled with your initial submission layout.
