Talascend is currently seeking a Material Coordinator for a contract to hire opportunity with our client in Apex, North Carolina .


Overview


The Material Coordinator will perform activities related to shipping, receiving, storing, delivering, transferring, reconciling, and cycle counting materials in compliance with cGMP procedures and regulations across multiple systems and sites. The role involves operating industrial vehicles, adhering to safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.


Responsibilities

• Execute warehouse operations involving shipping, receiving, storing, delivering, transferring, reconciling, and cycle counting materials per cGMP standards.
• Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) and trucks to move warehouse materials, including hazardous and general goods, following Department of Transportation regulations.
• Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring safety and environmental requirements are met.
• Ensure materials are received, stored, and distributed according to GMP, GDP, and applicable regulations.
• Document GMP activities according to approved procedures and participate in audits and inspections.
• Report risks and events to uphold safety, quality, and product integrity.
• Complete all required training prior to performing GMP activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working within a warehouse and/or with material/inventory
• Aptitude to follow SOPs and willingness to learn documentation practices
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech warehouse environment
• Basic knowledge of warehouse inventory management, SAP, and Microsoft Office
• Understanding of DOT and IATA shipping requirements
• Ability to operate a forklift or other powered industrial vehicle
• Knowledge of cold chain distribution requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills

The shift involves first shift hours, including 6am-5pm EST with scheduled rotations, transitioning to 12-hour shifts in October.
