Open Position for Associate Director

The position of Associate Director is a sales and communication position at the Illinois Trucking Association that reports directly to the Executive Director. The primary responsibility of the Associate Director is membership recruitment, renewal, and maintenance. The position also assists the Executive Director in management of the organization and is involved in lobbying activities. The Associate Director position is based out of the ITA’s office in Joliet, IL and requires moderate travel throughout the region and the state.

Job Duties

Recruit New Trucking Industry Leaders to Join ITA

Maintain Quality Relationships and Serve Association Members

Organize and Host ITA’s Regional Councils

Assist in the Management of Annual Truck Driving Championship

Represent the ITA at various meetings, conferences, and councils

Assist with ITA’s Lobbying Efforts in Springfield

Moderate Amount of Travel throughout the State (10-12 overnights/year)

Strong Sales and Communication Skills

Ability to Complete Tasks

Minimum 3 Years Trucking Industry Experience

Proven Sales and Marketing Success
