This is primarily a clinical role.What You’ll DoObtain and report vital signs, weights, intake and output, and glucometer resultsPerform EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collectionAssist patients with walking, toileting, dressing, feeding, positioning, and other activities of daily livingPrepare equipment and supplies for proceduresAssist physicians and nurses with patient positioning during proceduresSupport splinting and other delegated patient-care activitiesCare for patients who are waiting for inpatient bedsAssist with admissions, transfers, and dischargesProvide one-to-one and behavioral-health observation to support patient safetyAnswer call lights and promptly report patient needs or changes in conditionMaintain clean, safe, organized, and fully stocked patient-care areasCollaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and other members of the Emergency Department teamTraining is available for clinical skills such as phlebotomy.What Success Looks LikeYou will be successful in this role if you are:Comfortable providing direct, hands-on patient careCalm and adaptable when priorities change quicklyAble to organize your work during frequent interruptionsAttentive to patient safety and changes in conditionCompassionate and professional with patients and familiesA clear communicator who promptly reports concernsTeam-oriented and willing to assist wherever neededInterested in learning and developing new clinical skillsWhy Join This Team?This position offers broad exposure to emergency care while working closely with nurses, physicians, and other clinical professionals.It is well suited for someone who enjoys direct patient care, teamwork, learning new skills, and an environment where each shift may bring different patient needs and priorities.Minimum QualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalentPrevious clerical experience (preferably in a healthcare setting). Medical terminology is preferred.Ability to read and write at level 8, as documented on "Invest," the hospital's Employee Learning Laboratory software.An ability to set appropriate priorities and organize workflow.An ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail during frequent interruptions.Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to interface with support and professional staff and patients.Pay Range:$20.00 – $26.92The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
