Sanitation Associate

Are you someone who takes pride in keeping things clean, organized and ready for the next shift? We are seeking a dependable Sanitation Associate to join a Menomonie manufacturing team on 1st shift.

Position: Sanitation Associate

Location: Menomonie, WI

Start: ASAP

Term: Temp-to-Hire

Type: Full-Time

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; opportunity for some schedule flexibility once trained

Pay: $18.00/hour

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience: Previous cleaning, sanitation or janitorial experience preferred

Your primary responsibility will be light janitorial and sanitation work throughout the office and production areas. Once sanitation duties are complete, you may also assist the production team with packaging tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Mop and scrub floors throughout the facility
• Vacuum office areas
• Empty garbage and dispose of waste properly
• Clean and replenish supplies in restrooms
• Dust and clean office and production areas
• Wash buckets, utensils and other production items
• Operate floor-cleaning equipment as needed
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas
• Wear required PPE while working on the production floor
• Assist with packaging and general production duties when sanitation work is complete
• Follow established safety, sanitation and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

Qualifications:

• Previous cleaning, janitorial or sanitation experience preferred
• Ability to frequently lift 20–30 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read and write in English
• Knowledge of the metric system and conversions
• Excellent attendance and punctuality
• Dependable, self-motivated and willing to help wherever needed
• Willing to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including no jewelry, piercings, fake nails, fake eyelashes, etc.
• Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments
