Compensation $66.15/hr Location Spring, TX Vantage Group Schedule 14/14 Target Start Date ASAP Scope / Overview The Field Operator III - Production is responsible for safely operating production equipment and wells while maximizing production efficiency and equipment reliability. This position supports daily field operations through surveillance, troubleshooting, equipment monitoring, maintenance coordination, well diagnostics, laboratory sampling, and emergency response. The operator serves as a key communication link between Operations, Maintenance, and Wellwork teams while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production wells and equipment safely in accordance with operating procedures.
• Execute daily operational objectives while maintaining housekeeping, safety, environmental, and security standards.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and routine safety meetings.
• Monitor wells and production equipment to identify optimization opportunities and equipment issues.
• Perform basic maintenance activities as an Equipment Care Technician.
• Report alarms, emergency shutdowns, and equipment abnormalities promptly.
• Maintain accurate shift turnover information and operational logbooks.
• Coordinate corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
• Collect production samples and perform field laboratory testing.
• Participate in emergency response activities when required.
• Report incidents in accordance with company reporting procedures.
• Communicate operational status and production concerns with Operations Shift Supervisors.
• Diagnose well performance issues before requesting Wellwork intervention.
• Ensure wellheads and surface equipment are properly prepared for intervention operations.
• Support Wellwork operations during active interventions.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Field Technician or Production Operator.
• Oil & Gas production operations experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
• Extensive knowledge of production and pipeline operations.
• Experience with operations management and maintenance processes.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures.
• Understanding of production facility design philosophy and operating specifications.
• Knowledge of applicable industry regulations and commercial agreements.

Preferred Experience

• Production operations within upstream Oil & Gas.
• Control Room operations experience.
• Experience with production surveillance and well diagnostics.
• Maintenance coordination experience.
• Laboratory sampling and field testing.
• Shift handover and operations reporting.
• Experience supporting Wellwork or intervention activities.

Ideal Candidate The strongest candidates will have significant upstream production operations experience, strong troubleshooting and well surveillance skills, prior Control Room exposure, and experience coordinating field operations in a safety-focused production environment. Candidates with both field operations and control room experience will be especially competitive.
